Was just wondering if there will be anything organized in celebration of the 1000th member to join our great forum, i just noticed we are now at 916 with TRein...

Will there be coookies, cake, champagne, balloons, free zoot from all the great sponsors?????

If the last one, i'm seriously thinking of loggin' in under a false name when we reach 999! he he he

Now Serge, play nice.

Someone else might be thinking the same thing...

We implode.

Just like a beached whale that can't support it's own weight. I'm not going to log in that day.

I nominate Serge to be the "Official Welcoming Committee of One" when that day arrives.

He can send them their case of Corn Flakes, an 8 x 10 color glossy (with circles and arrows ala Arlo Guthrie) of Tony doing the Crazy Ritz, a copy of the Official OLF Terminology Manual (all 1 page), a floppy disc of Sergicons, and La-z-boy's color manual of the "Top 10 sofas on the Market" as they are gonna need to get one!

Did I miss anything?

Serge, see what you have unleashed? Next, someone will be calling for committees, and formulation of forms, and by-laws, and rules, and behavior covenants. All of the stuff that ruins this sort of thing!

Bob, i thought of it first! No way of cheating without going unnoticed around here!

Corn Flakes are a good idea to make the 1000th member Bear-friendly IMVHO! But i don't run the show here...so.... , a 2007' calendar of all our great piccys would be recommended, Tony's Crazy Ritz should be the first pic to appear for January, followed by Hesh's bathroom in febuary, my mug with the Corn Flakes box in March..... this new member should feel right at home

A better question still would be, 'What happens when Serge reaches 5000 posts?'...

Ron, you seem to be fearing the arrival of the 1000th member my great southern friend, don't worry, i'll probably reach the 5000th posts mark by then and the new guys will be intimidated just by that!

Alain, i'll be the one not login' in on that day!

Jeanne, how about doing that a comittee of 2, you and me, all we'd have to do is make 'em laugh really hard like we know we can untill their pants drop to the floor and then we run away with their zoot!

Serge, mon petit chouchou

I believe we COULD make them laugh so hard they'd give us their zoot to make us just go away and take our bad jokes with us

Alain, It scares me that you have taken the time to calculate Serge's posting average and date of his "arrival"

Very good Carlton!

And all the malarky they can stand. It's the perfect forum!

Hey guys, looks like i'm gonna be the one welcoming the 1000th member, i guess i'll start packaging the goodies:

-Floppy disc filled with Sergicons,
-An autographed "Bear holding the CCF box" pic
-A calendar i don't have yet
-A lazy-boy manual
-OlF terminology page
-A pamphlet describing my secrets on how to post with both hands and both feet while eating CCF and playing guitar by ear

Poooor thing, he's gonna suffer!
